i know elsewhere on this site you've called yourself a "professional party pooper", a hater by trade. but if it's anything, the dominant sentiment that i feel when i read your work is love. even the most biting of your essays are grounded in a deep love for your art, for your people, for those who've had their voices silenced and bodies policed by the same oppressors who now try to profit off a cheap facsimile of their labor. i feel the love in the recommendations you list and in the way you interact with the space you've built here. you write in this piece, "we must’’t abandon them even if we don’t get love in return. that is what it means to be in community"- but trust that the love and loyalty you're projecting isn't unrequited. i'm just a college student on the other side of the atlantic, but your words have reached me and inspired me to be more curious with the media i consume, more outspoken in my classroom lectures, and more confident in the opinions i hold- and i'm sure there's countless others on here who feel the same way. so thank you again for sharing your words and your love and your thoughts with us. i'm grateful i found this page and grateful to be in community with you <33
